Slander
Prophet Musa (AS) said:
"O My LOrd, the people say things about me which are not true!" So Allah revealed to him: "O Musa, I did not make that(priveledge) for Myself, so how can I make it the case for you?"
[Al- Adab Al Shariyyah by ibn Muflih]
Remember this:
Next time you hear others saying something about you that isn't true. Leave them to Allh, Is He not the most just of judges?

Take care
“If you’re in prayer, take care of your heart; if you’re eating, take care of your throat; if you’re in another man’s house, take care of your eyes; if you are among people, take care of your tongue. Remember two matters and forget two matters: Remember Allah and death; forget any good that you have done to another and any evil that was done to you by another.”

Furnish your home
The servant has a Lord that he will stand infront of and a house he will live in, so he must seek the pleasure of Allah before meeting Him and he should furnish his house before moving in...

Emphemeral Love
Soon my ummah will reach a time wherein they will love 5 things and forget 5 things:
They will love the world and forget the Hereafter,
they will love wealth and forget the Day of Reckoning,
They will love the creation and forget the Creator,
They will love sinning and forget repenting,
and they will love their homes and forget the grave.

Salvation from people
"Indeed, I encouraged my soul to aspire for paradise so it aspired for it. Then I encouraged it to aspire for salvation from Hellfire and so it aspired for it. Then I encouraged it to aspire for salvation from the people, but i did not find a way to that. Indeed the people were not pleased with their Creator although He provides for them, so how can they be pleased with another creation like themselves?"

calamities
It is reported that Shurayh – rahimahullaah – said,
“If I am afflicted with a calamity, I praise Allaah for it four times: I praise Him because it wasn’t worse than it was, I praise Him when He gives me the patience to bear it, I praise Him for enabling me to say al-istirja' (‘To Allaah we belong and to him we will return’) in hope of a great reward, and I praise Him for not making it a calamity in my religion.”
(Al-Dhahabi, Siyar A’lam Al-Nubala, in his biography of Shurayh Al-Qadi)
“He whom Allah has predestined to enter Paradise, the reasons which will cause his entrance shall spring from calamities; and he whom Allah has predestined to enter the Hellfire, the reasons which will cause his entrance shall spring from lusts.”
– Ibn Al-Qayyim

Truly Beloved
Truly in the heart there is a sadness that can not be removed except with the happiness of knowing Allah and being true to Him.
And in it there is an emptiness that can not be filled except with love for Him and by turning to him and always remembering Him.
And if a person were given all of the world and what is in it, it would not fill this emptiness.

Mercy greater than sins
The words of Imam ash-Shaafi'ee before his death:
"In you, the Creator, I raise my longing,
And even if I am, O possessor of kindness and generosity,
an evildoer, a criminal,
When my heart became constricted and my paths
became narrow,
I took my hope in Your pardon and forgiveness as an
opening and an escape,
My sins seemed very great to me but when I compared
them to Your forgiveness,
I found your forgiveness to be greater,
You are and still remain the only One who can
forgive sins,
You grant and forgive out of Your benevolence and
gererosity, Perhaps the One who is the source of all goodness will
forgive and overlook my mistakes,
And will hide the sins and burden I accumulated,
My sins seemed very great to me, so I turned (to you)
in humility,
Were it not for my contentment in you,
I wouldn't O my Lord, have seen any comfort at all,
So if You forgive me, You would have forgiven a sinner,
A rebellious, oppressive tyrant still sinning,
So my crime is very great, past and present,
But Your forgiveness that embraces Your servant is
greater and higher,
So whomsoever holds fast to Allaah is truly saved from mankind,
And whomsoever's hopes are in Him, will be far removed
from any regrets" *

Dunia - A Station Of Tests
Ibn Al-Jowzee said, "If this Dunya was not a station of tests it would not be filled with sicknesses and filth. If life were not about hardship, then the Prophets and the pious would have lived the most comfortable of lives.
Nay, Adam (as) suffered test after test until he left the Dunya.
Nuh (as) cried for 300 years.
Ibrahim (as)was thrown into a pit of fire and later told to slaughter his son.
Ya'qub (as) cried until he became blind.
Musa (as) challenged Fir'own and was tested by his people.
Eeasa (as) had no provision except the morsels his disciples provided him with. And Muhammad (Sal Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam) met poverty with patience, his uncle - one of the most beloved relatives to him - was slain and mutilated and his people disbelieved in him ... and the list of Prophets and the pious goes on and on."

Dunya vs Akhira
Allah says: Think not that Allah does not notice the deeds of those who do wrong. He but gives them respite against a day when the eyes will fixedly stare in horror... --(S.xlv.42).
Once Umar(R.A) enter a room within the masjid where he noticed the Prophet laying on a mat. While observing the prophet in this position Umar began weeping. When asked by the Prophet "Why are you weeping?" Umar replied:
'O, Prophet of Allah! why should I not weep? I can see the mat's pattern which you just lay on imprinted on your body, and I am also beholding all that you have got in this room. O, Prophet of Allah Pray that Allah may grant ample provisions for us. The Persians and the Romans who have no true faith and who worship not Allah but their kings -- Caesar and Chosroes-- presently live in gardens with streams running in their midst, but the chosen Prophet and the accepted slave of Allah does live in such a dire poverty!'
The Prophet (S.A.W) sat up from the mat he was laying on and responded:
"O, 'Umar! are you still in doubt about this matter? Ease and comfort in the Hereafter are much better than ease and comfort in this world. The unbelievers are enjoying their share of the good
things in this very world, whereas we have all such things in store for us in the next."
As Believers, we must keep in mind that just because many unbelievers in this world have greater success than many believers doesn't mean Allah has favored them. Their possesions are a temporary and a test. Many "winners" in this life will be losers in the next. Many "losers" in this life will be winners in the next.

Pride and Pleasure
Imam Ibn Hazm al-Andalusi said: "Whoever is pleased with his courage, which he applies in matters that are not for the sake of Allah, the Exalted, full of Majesty, should know that the tiger is braver than he, and that the lion, wolf, and elephant are more courageous than he.
Whoever is pleased with his bodily strength should know that the mule, bull, and elephant have stronger bodies. Whoever is pleased with his ability to lift weights should know that the donkey can lift heavier weights. Whoever is pleased with how fast he can run should know that the dog and rabbit are faster than he. Whoever is pleased with the beauty of his voice should know that many birds sing more beautifully than he and that the winds in the wood sound sweeter than he.
Hence, what sort of pride or pleasure should one feel in traits in which the animals excel more than he does?
But the one whose mind is strong, whose knowledge is broad, and whose deeds are good should feel true happiness, because he is surpassed in these matters only by the angels and the best of men."
